The New Mayor Promises a 'New Era' for New York City in Inaugural Address
In a initial day in office, Zohran Mamdani vowed to “reimagine” America's largest city, promising “a new era” and an ambitious beginning to his tenure.

Mamdani has attempted to smooth over these concerns by convincing Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch to remain, preventing the optics of losing a top Jewish official.
